Getting started

To sign up for a free month’s trial, to take out a new subscription or to renew your current subscription please contact our Helpline on 0303 123 9999, or email [email protected] our colleagues will be able to assist and take payment as appropriate.

You will receive confirmation and login details via email. At this point you will be invited to reset your password. Your account will then be active and ready to use.

• Once you have received your login details, go to the website, and choose the Log in link. We recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to access the website.
• You will be taken straight to “My Favourites" Page. This section is designed for you to easily access your frequently read publications.
• To browse the content available, you will need to select the "Publications" page. From here you will be able to choose your favourities.

To view all the publications RNIB Newsagent offer, select the "Publications" page in the ribbon.  You can view the list in alphabetical order or via genre.  

There is a drop-down box which provides the option of selecting your format only.  E.g., audio.

The search option allows you to search for magazines and newspapers.  We recommend you search by name of the publication you are looking for.

Select the title you are interested in. This will provide you with a synopsis and what file types the publication is available in. Select the link below to view the current edition.

• As an eText publication. eText provides four different file types, HTML, TXT, ePub and mobi. Select the link on the chosen file type to access the content.
• As an audio publication. Select the link, the publication will give you the option at the top to download or stream all files. Underneath this the newspaper or magazine is broken up into the list of tracks. The title of each track is given, followed by the option to download or stream this section.

• Select the title you wish to save as a favourite. 
• Next to the format there is an option to select add to favourites. Your magazine or newspaper is then saved immediately in the My favourites area of the website.
• Should you wish to deselect this, simply select “Remove from favourites”
